If you are a fan of camping, we have three state parks within an hour of us. New River Trail State Park has primitive camping and Hungry Mother State Park and Claytor Lake State Park have camping and cabins. KOA, Deer Trail Campground and Rural Retreat Lake have accommodations for RVs as well as primitive camping. New River Retreats manages a wide variety of cabins along the New River if a house or cabin rental is more to your liking.

The Trinkle Mansion offers four elegant guestrooms plus a private garden cottage to provide the perfect setting for a small wedding, romantic celebration or a tranquil retreat from everyday life. Although the atmosphere is one of mannered Southern charm, the daily routine is low-key and comfortable.

Indulge in Patti's memorable, three-course breakfasts served fireside at a beautifully set table, complete with crystal and silver. All guestrooms have  private bathrooms with spa-inspired amenities, complimentary Wi-Fi access, cable television, CD players, and complimentary refreshments.
